The Idea Behind True Care Medical Therapy Center in Northeastern Minnesota

True Care Medical Therapy Center started as a dream to provide high quality services to area children. Physical Therapy as a standalone service would have been exciting but Ida felt that the addition of Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy were important to ensure that all the needs of our patients could be met. Realizing that those children with special needs would continue to require episodes of service throughout their adult life the decision was made to provide services to the adult population as well.

Since high school Ida enjoyed working with children. This interest led her to pursue a career in physical therapy with providing pediatric care in mind. After years of working in the schools, Ida realized that there was an unmet need for therapy services specific to pediatrics. The City of Cook is an ideal location, allowing for residents of area towns such as International Falls, Ely, and Tower to access the dedicated pediatric services that are typically only available in more distant areas.

"I'm delighted to announce that True Care Medical Therapy Center is now open and taking patients. So many family members and friends have worked hard to help open this facility. The community of Cook has eagerly welcomed us into the City. I truly appreciate the hard work and persistence of all who have contributed."
