Rehabilitation through the use of the popular gaming system Wii is being offered at True Care Medical Therapy Center. Our therapists carefully plan programming and provide adaptations to allow for safe effective rehabilitation progress. The use of the Wii fit games and the Sports games provide immediate visual feedback to the patient and allows them to make necessary corrections in technique. The challenge and enjoyment of the games often make the treatment time go by quickly for the patient. With the built in save feature Wii provides a great way to objectively track progress. Although more study is needed early research indicates that when combined with standard therapy the Wii may improve therapy results.
